Full video“Stay in your lane”is on my IGTV.

As I mention on the video the second word I have tattooed on my arm is Euthymia. This short, delicious word means- The sense of our own path and how to stay on it without getting distracted by all the others that intersect it.

It is not about beating anyone, it is not about having more than anyone else, it is simply about being who you really are and being as good as possible at being you without succumbing to all the things that try to draw you away from it.

I find so often as human beings we can feel and act like we are in a race, a race to win, to do better, to achieve more than others or we get distracted by what they are doing in their lane and can think I want what they have, I want to do what they are doing. But we are all in this life thing together, in unity, we should all be focused on rising each other up, supporting each other and not competing or rushing but being authentic to ourselves, knowing our life is unraveling at a different pace than the one meant for someone else in their lane.

Seneca the ancient philosopher and teacher, built on this meaning, defining Euthymia as:

“Believing in yourself and trusting that you are on the right path, and not being in doubt by following the myriad footpaths of those wandering in every direction.”

We are constantly bombarded with other peoples lives and constant noise, it is no wonder so many people feel disconnected and lost, it is easy to look at others, but what you are seeking can only be found inside of you.

We have the privilege of living this life as a completely unique, being and entity that is different to every other person on the planet. Out of billions of other living beings no one is the same as us, how incredible is that?

Taking our eyes off our lane means we are not honoring our own journey, focusing on the work we are uniquely here to do. We know deep within our souls what we are here to do and when we are not in alignment with that, and being authentic to ourselves we will always feel like something is not right.

May we stay true and authentic to ourselves, because that is our unique gift to the world. Set out to accomplish the most of what you are capable of in what you choose, follow what is truly important to you, then taking steps to let go of the rest.
